Auto Value & Bumper to Bumper Tech Expo broke attendance records with 3,107 registrants and the trade show doubled in size
Grand Rapids, Mich.—Auto-Wares Group of Companies has announced the successful conclusion of its Auto Value & Bumper to Bumper Tech Expo, Feb. 9-10, in Grand Rapids, Mich., at the DeVos Place & Amway Grand Plaza. This year’s event broke previous attendance records, with 3,107 registrants comprising service technicians, parts store owners, and other automotive aftermarket professionals.
The highlight of Tech Expo was the Kick-Off Meeting, Friday afternoon, which drew nearly 600 attendees. The event featured guests from the Auto Care Association, MEMA, and NASCAR Driver William Byron. Auto-Wares also awarded their 2023 Supplier Awards.
“Tech Expo 2024 served as a powerful testament to our commitment to industry professionals’ growth and development,” said Todd Leimenstoll, president and CEO of Auto-Wares Group of Companies. “I’m excited to see what the future holds as we continue to empower industry professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.”
The trade show, a cornerstone of the event, doubled in size compared to previous years. More than 150 suppliers participated, offering attendees insights into new products, brands, and promotional opportunities. Over $37,000 in prizes were distributed throughout the event, providing attendees with incentives and rewards.
In addition to the expanded trade show, Tech Expo featured an extensive class schedule, with over 80 courses offered. Topics ranged from in-depth product exploration to business management, technical training, and diagnostic tips, catering to the diverse needs of attendees. Women In Auto Care orchestrated a panel discussion that drew the participation of both men and women on Saturday morning.
The event’s festivities culminated with Casino Night, which drew a crowd of over 500 attendees. Guests enjoyed a night of mock gambling, music, food, drinks, and exciting prize giveaways.
The Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG) prefaced the event with a regional meet-up at the nearby New Holland Brewing Thursday before Tech Expo began. The Dorman and Auto-Wares-sponsored event included food, drinks, and an opportunity for automotive professionals under 40 to network with aftermarket peers and develop industry mentors.
