New industry campaign gives free oil changes for blood donors across D.C. region

Conceptual Minds, Wiygul Automotive Clinic and Inova Blood Donor Services partner to launch initiative that blends community care with car care

Arlington, Va.—Conceptual Minds, a marketing agency specializing in the automotive industry, has helped Wiygul Automotive Clinic and Inova Blood Donor Services launch a campaign that blends community care with car care.

This fall, blood donors in the Washington, D.C., region will receive a voucher for a free full-synthetic oil change at any of Wiygul Automotive Clinic’s nine D.C.-area locations.

On select dates this season, up to 300 vouchers will be distributed per donation date (while supplies last), encouraging community members to support critically low blood supplies while also taking care of an essential vehicle maintenance need.

Beyond the community benefit, the program also delivered immediate business results: Inova pre-purchased 1,400 full-synthetic oil changes in advance, providing Wiygul Automotive Clinic with an upfront revenue boost while ensuring that each donor reward could be honored seamlessly across its locations.

Campaign Dates and Participation

Blood donation events will take place on:

  • October 2, 9, 16, 23 (Oct. 23 is donor centers only)
  • November 28

Eligible donors can visit select Inova Blood Donor Centers or mobile drives to participate. Donors who complete the screening process will receive a voucher for a free oil change, redeemable at any Wiygul Automotive Clinic location.
