Engineered to last up to five times longer than rebuilt alternatives, the new 4L60E is exclusively built from new, original components, never remanufactured
Fort Mill, S.C.—The Luk TorCon torque converter product line has expanded with the release of the new LuK TorCon 4L60E. Engineered to last up to five times longer than rebuilt alternatives, the new 4L60E is exclusively built from new, original components, never remanufactured. It is the only product of its kind available in the automotive aftermarket and backed by Schaeffler’s expertise as a Tier 1 supplier in the industry.
The LuK TorCon 4L60E is designed to simplify the replacement process by eliminating the need for model-specific cores that are often required in torque converter rebuilding. Distributors and installers can rely on the 4L60E TorCon to be in stock and ready for installation—manufactured to exacting standards using new components and advanced manufacturing processes—designed and built in-house from raw material to final assembly.
Featuring LuK friction materials and INA premium thrust bearings, the LuK TorCon is engineered to withstand extreme conditions. Its fully furnace-brazed fins improve heat dissipation, reduce wear, and enhance long-term durability. The contamination-free manufacturing process includes 100% pressure and lockup testing, along with precision balancing to ensure every unit meets the highest standards.
The LuK TorCon torque converter product line covers a range of applications for passenger cars and pickup trucks. Schaeffler’s manufacturing OE torque converters allows it to capture several applications through a single SKU. The TorCon (TC0018) is compatible with select 1999-2014 General Motors trucks, vans and SUVs equipped with 4L60E transmissions. It covers multiple engines and has a current VIO of over 5,800,000, offering versatility when choosing a new torque converter.
In the coming months additional SKUs will be released.
