EPS Torque Sensors join EPS Belt Replacement Kits to provide components needed to repair electric racks rather than opting for full-unit replacements
Dixon, Ill.—Plews & Edelmann, a manufacturer of power steering components, has announced an expansion of its hard parts portfolio with the release of several parts and a new product line: Electric Power Steering (EPS) Torque Sensors.
The introduction of EPS Torque Sensors join the new EPS Belt Replacement Kits, providing technicians with the components needed to repair electric racks rather than opting for full-unit replacements.
“Our goal is to stay ahead of the market by identifying the gaps that leave technicians without options,” said Anthony Holguin, Director of Category Management at Plews & Edelmann. “By adding Torque Sensors to our EPS lineup and releasing exclusive hard parts for traditional hydraulic systems, we are giving our professional technicians the ability to service vehicles that previously required a trip to the dealer.”
EPS Innovation
The new EPS Torque Sensors address a common failure point in modern steering systems. Instead of replacing an entire electric rack and pinion assembly—a costly and labor-intensive process—technicians can now use Edelmann sensors to perform a targeted, high-quality repair. This addition complements the existing line of high-performance EPS belts and tools, ensuring that Plews & Edelmann remains at the forefront of the industry’s shift toward electric power steering repair technology.
Expanded Hard Parts Coverage
While many suppliers solely focus on high-volume, common applications, Plews & Edelmann includes coverage for parts that are unavailable elsewhere, the company stated. The release includes 19 exclusive Rack and Pinion assemblies, Pumps, and Gears. These parts focus on late-model applications and high-failure units.
