Factory Spec Calibrations launches ADAS calibration center

The center operates in partnership with the Bob Maloney Collision Group, which includes multiple collision repair facilities in the region

Rogers, Ark.—Factory Spec Calibrations has opened a new advanced driver-assistance systems calibration center in Rogers, Ark., expanding access to controlled, manufacturer-compliant ADAS services in the northwest Arkansas market.

The calibration center is operated by partners Matt Schroeder and Damon Wetzel, who oversee day-to-day operations and planning for the business. Schroeder has been involved in the facility’s development since its inception and has worked closely with Wetzel to bring the center online.

Factory Spec Calibrations also operates in partnership with the Bob Maloney Collision Group, which includes multiple collision repair facilities in the region. Bob Maloney, along with Bubba Maloney and Kenny Davis, has collectively played a key role in supporting the launch and growth of the calibration center.

The decision to open a dedicated calibration center was driven by firsthand experience with third-party mobile calibration providers. “We started digging into calibrations and realized they were not always being done properly,” Schroeder stated. “You could make a warning light go out, but that did not always mean the system was functioning correctly.”

The Rogers location encompasses approximately 4,200 square feet and was retrofitted specifically for ADAS calibration work. The facility includes laser-leveled floors, reinforced drywall throughout the calibration areas, and segmented lighting that can be adjusted to meet specific OEM procedures.

The shop is equipped with three calibration frames, including an Ultimate ADAS frame and two Autel systems, allowing technicians to perform both static and dynamic calibrations across a wide range of vehicle platforms.

Factory Spec Calibrations maintains original equipment manufacturer software subscriptions for numerous brands, including General Motors, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Hyundai, Kia, Stellantis, Mazda, and Rivian. Schroeder said access to OEM software is critical to ensuring calibrations are completed according to manufacturer procedures and documented correctly.

The Rogers facility is one of only two locations in Arkansas currently certified to perform Rivian calibrations. 

Schroeder said the Car ADAS Solutions assisted with early planning, including facility requirements, tooling selection, target packages, and workflow design. The company also provided technician training and ongoing support. “They helped us understand what the facility needed to look like and what equipment was required to do calibrations the right way,” Schroeder stated.

Factory Spec Calibrations currently employs three calibration technicians, along with support staff dedicated to vehicle logistics. Five drivers transport vehicles between affiliated collision repair facilities and the calibration center. During its first full month of operation, the shop processed close to 200 vehicles while servicing five collision repair locations within its partner network.

In addition to performing required calibrations, the center conducts verification test drives and system checks on every vehicle. These checks include blind-spot monitoring, 360-degree camera systems, and parking sensors, even when those systems were not part of the original repair scope.

Schroeder said the goal is to confirm that all ADAS features are functioning as intended before vehicles are returned to collision repair partners.

Plans are already underway to expand operations. Due to space constraints and increasing demand, the team is planning an additional facility nearby. The expansion is expected to include additional equipment, OEM software subscriptions, and calibration frames to support increased volume.
