Boulder shop owner vies for ASA National general director position

Judi Haglin, of Haglin Automotive, seeks to bring her regional industry volunteerism and business acumen to the national stage

Boulder, Colo.—Judi Haglin has been named a candidate for the Automotive Service Association (ASA) general director position. She joins candidate John Firm, of Firm Automotive in Fort Worth, Texas, for the position. ASA members in good standing will receive an email with a link to vote and voting closes this Friday, May 7. ASA provided the following profiles.

Judi Haglin is a candidate for general director on the board of directors of the Automotive Service Association (ASA). She is owner of Haglin Automotive in Boulder, Colo. She is AMAM certified and a member of ASA. She serves on the CTI Advisory Board and is a past member of the ASA Colorado Board of Directors.

“I have always believed in giving back. I served on the ASA Colorado board and was the Summit Committee chair, overseeing a highly successful event. I feel that I have a vast amount of knowledge and experience with organizations such as ASA.

John Firm is a candidate for general director on the board of directors of the Automotive Service Association (ASA). He is owner of Firm Automotive in Fort Worth, Texas. Firm is AMAM certified and a member of ASA. He has served in various leadership positions for the ASA North Texas Chapter and the ASA Texas affiliate. He is currently involved on ASA’s Mechanical Operations Committee.

“If elected, I would bring many years of ASA leadership experience to this board position. My broad leadership experience — from the local and state levels — have enriched my overall knowledge and experience.

“Through my involvement and support of ASA, I have gotten to know many other affiliate leaders, and have enjoyed a good working relationship with them. With my shop only 10 miles away from the ASA National office, I’m able to get involved and support our national activities locally.

“My leadership style is more of a coach, rather than a manager. I like to guide people to make the best decisions and choices, lending my support and wisdom along the way. I’ll bring this same style of leadership to this board position. I’m a positive, forward-thinking leader who is focused on using our strengths to move our association ahead.”
