‘Oregon’s Car Care’ program allows police officers to issue store vouchers to motorists with equipment violations
Salem, Ore.—The Oregon State Police, through a partnership with the Oregon State Sheriffs’ Association and the Oregon Association Chiefs of Police, has expanded its “Car Care” program to “Oregon’s Car Care” program with participating auto parts stores.

Approximately 77 percent of violations from Oregon State Police are due to “Operating without Required Lighting.” Required lighting includes all external lighting such as blinkers, headlights, and tail lights.
