Protractor debuts text-to-pay feature for auto shops

New text-to-pay feature is integrated into Protractor and gives shop customers additional payment flexibility and contactless payment options

Toronto—Protractor, a cloud-based shop management solution for auto repair shops and tire stores, has announced its new text-to-pay feature, giving customers additional payment flexibility and contactless payment options. Powered by automotive payments processor 360 Payments, text-to-pay is seamlessly integrated into Protractor’s software.

“Customers will love the ease and simplicity of being able to pay right from their phone when it’s convenient for them,” said David Rozario, Protractor general manager, “and shop staff will appreciate spending less time on clerical tasks, not to mention the elimination of end-of-day checkout rush.”

Text-to-pay features include:

  • Secure text message invoicing, deposit requests and payment transactions
  • A safe and contactless way to pay without going inside the shop
  • Signatures that appear automatically on the repair order
  • A seamless integration to reduce mistakes and speed up the checkout process

Rozario added, “This is a key service enhancement that can make a big difference in increasing the customer loyalty factor for auto shops. Now more than ever, consumers demand convenience and safety, and text-to-pay offers both.”
