Remedial training for shops and provider certification now available

BAR will host workshop to discuss proposed regulations regarding violations of the Automotive Repair Act

Sacramento, Calif.—The Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) will host a public workshop on March 22 to discuss proposed regulations to create a remedial training process for automotive repair dealers (ARD) that receive a citation for violations of the Automotive Repair Act.

As provided by AB 471 (Low, Chapter 372, Statutes of 2021), the draft regulations include a process to certify remedial training providers, course content for remedial training, and a process for Bureau approval of training courses submitted by certified providers.
