Larry H. Miller Dealerships raises $500,000 during 10th annual golf classic

More than $2.4 million raised since 2012 for qualified nonprofits with giving focused on women and children

Salt Lake City—Employees of Larry H. Miller Dealerships, along with 89 vendors and business partners, raised a record amount at this year’s Larry H. Miller Dealerships Golf Classic. Following the tournament, which saw 54 foursomes competing, the dealership group presented a $500,000 check to Larry H. Miller Charities, the charitable arm of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies.

“The funds raised at the 2021 Larry H. Miller Dealerships Golf Classic will be distributed to charities in the seven states where the group does business,” said Don Stirling, president of Larry H. Miller Charities. “These vital charitable contributions into local communities will focus on programs that serve women and children with an emphasis on health and education.

“These funds alone will help dozens and dozens of nonprofit organizations at a time when the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to challenge women and children everywhere. The charitable spirit of our dealerships and their partners, as evidenced by the amount of money raised, is both moving and inspiring. We are so grateful!”

Since the inception of the Larry H. Miller Dealerships Golf Classic in 2012, more than $2.4 million has been raised for Larry H. Miller Charities. Donations to Larry H. Miller Charities are then distributed to qualified nonprofit organizations in the communities where the dealership group has locations, in the states of Utah, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico and Washington.

Funding for Larry H. Miller Charities is generated, in large part, through Larry H. Miller portfolio companies, employee contributions and Miller Family matching.
