Elway Dealership Group and Schomp Automotive Group acquire Utah Porsche dealership

Denver—Strong Automotive Group has sold Porsche Salt Lake City, Utah, to a partnership between the Elway Dealership Group and Schomp Automotive Group.

Schomp Automotive Group is a fourth-generation and family owned business with dealerships in Colorado and Utah. Aaron Wallace, dealer principal, CEO, and great-great grandson of the founder, commented, “Porsche is an outstanding brand, and the dealership has won awards for its excellence. We will continue to provide the same award-winning customer experience.”

With a customer-centric philosophy, Porsche Salt Lake City is a top-25 performer, a seven-time Porsche Premier Dealer Award winner and one of only 17 Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur Dealers.

The Elway Dealership Group has holdings in Colorado and California, and was founded in 2004 by Hall of Fame football player, John Elway, and Mitch Pierce, president of Elway Dealership Group. Having formed a partnership with Schomp Automotive Group on this acquisition, Pierce said “We’ve shared some best practices with their team over the years and I’d say there’s been a mutual admiration. Both organizations are fairly progressive with an emphasis on doing what’s best for our customers and employees.”
