Sun Auto & Tire acquires Greg’s Japanese Auto, Jeff’s Auto, and Gaynor Automotive

The move marks an expansion into the Northwest with a total of 16 acquisitions among three operations in Washington

Seattle and Vancouver, Wash.—Tucson, Ariz.-based Sun Auto & Tire announced the acquisition this week of Greg’s Japanese Auto, an eight-store operation, and Jeff’s Auto Repair, a three-store operation, that both serve the Seattle market, as well as Gaynors Automotive, a five-shop operation in Vancouver, Wash., that serves the great Portland, Ore., region.

Sun Auto Tire now has more than 230 locations throughout Washington, Virginia, Texas, Arizona, California, Nevada and Oklahoma. The new Northwest acquisitions represent 160 bays.

“At Sun Auto Tire & Service, one of the many ways we define our success is by creating acquisition opportunities in which we feel we can partner with trusted brands and capitalize on established and successful footprints in multiple markets,” Sun Auto CEO Tony Puckett said.

“Earlier this year, we expanded our portfolio to include the East Coast, and naturally, the next step in our expansion journey is the Pacific Northwest. The strong community relationships Greg’s, Jeff’s and Gaynors have cultivated will further strengthen our growth strategy and help cement Sun Auto Tire & Service as Washington’s leading provider of quality aftermarket automotive repair.”
