Golden State industry associations send out scholarship alerts as deadlines approach

CNCDA and CAWA have annual scholarship opportunities available for auto tech students; apply by May 31 and June 15

Car Careers Scholarship Program – Awards for Auto Tech Students

The California New Car Dealers Association (CNCDA) CAR CAREERS Scholarship Program is an annual scholarship opportunity through the CNCDA Scholarship Foundation. The scholarship supports the future automotive workforce by offering twenty awards to highly skilled and motivated California college students pursuing a career in auto technology. The top 20 scholarship awardees will receive $5,000 each, and one statewide recipient will receive an additional $5,000.

The Motorcar Parts of America – Selwyn Joffe Scholarship Award Program – Awards for Automotive High School Teachers

The California Automotive Wholesalers Association (CAWA) Motorcar Parts of America – Selwyn Joffe Scholarship Award Program provides financial and other awards to high school teachers preparing students for automotive careers. The scholarship offers up to $1,500 awards to assist teachers with obtaining certification and industry training. In addition, recipients may receive products, tools, and other resources for classroom use to enhance the quality education and training provided to their students.
