MWACA is accepting applications for the $1,000 scholarship, deadline to apply is March 1; recipient to be announced at the Career Panel event in April
Springfield, Mo.—The Springfield Chapter of the Midwest Auto Care Alliance (MWACA) will be hosting a networking and panel discussion event so that students seeking a career in the automotive service industry have an opportunity to meet and learn from local independent shop owners and managers.
The event is also the stage for the new scholarship for Ozark Technical Community College students in honor of longtime industry professional and former president of MWACA, Tim Cummings. The April meeting is an opportunity to discuss skills employers look for in their hiring process, career opportunities in our industry, employer expectations, and much more.
The panel discussion will give shop owners, service advisors, and technicians a chance to talk about their experiences and answer questions from students entering in to the field.
