Longtime Northeast Kansas Area Vo-Tech School collision instructor passes away

Kenneth Mann served in the United States Air Force as an aircraft maintenance mechanic during Vietnam and attended Pittsburgh State College and Auto Body and Collision School in Flint, Mich.

Atchison, Kan.—Kenneth E. Mann, 75, of Atchison, Kansas, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020. He was born on Feb. 16, 1945, in Mexico, Mo., and graduated from Mexico High School in 1963. Mann served in the United States Air Force as an aircraft maintenance mechanic during Vietnam and attended Pittsburgh State College and Auto Body and Collision School in Flint, Mich.

Mann went on to teach auto body and collision repair at the Northeast Kansas Area Vo-tech School in Atchison for more than 29 years.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Lions Club, and served as a volunteer for the Shannon Township Fire Department. Mann served as Girl Scout Volunteer and Leader, enjoyed traveling, trout fishing, taking family on trips and helped many people with auto body repair out of his home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Research and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Condolences to the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.
